Say Ciao to Ignite Milano

The secret’s out but we’ve had our sights set on an Italian office for a long time – and not just for the sweet weather and spritzes on tap. We’ve worked with clients across the continent for years, from Cypriot mountain retreat, Casale Panayiotis, to W Hotels, St. Regis & Marriott Hotels, so it made sense to launch an official presence on the mainland.

Why Milan?!

Milan is a true European city. It’s urban beauty is home to one of the most multicultural, open-minded and forward-thinking communities in Italy. But whilst it has a global mindset, reflective of Ignite’s outlook, Milan retains a strong local culture. Famous for their love of hospitality (and their even stronger views on food 👀) the Belpaese is second to none when it comes to gastronomic culture, something that is deep in the heart of society, and Milan is a proud ambassador of this spirit.

Milan’s hospitality scene is vibrant, energetic and diverse. The traditions, from the famous ritual of aperitivo, and classic panettone, sit alongside innovative food and drink concepts and home to an incredible 21 Michelin stars!!

With food credentials like this, we were packing our bags.

Embracing Change

The Covid era has presented a lot of us with greater flexibility, something which we’ve always embraced at Ignite, along with an international team. We have not one but two Igniters already based in Italy – and with two more in London, Ignite Italia looked like a foregone conclusion.

Besides operationally managing the EU side of the business, we have the resources to run projects start-to-end in Italian as well as having in-house skills and resources in other selected EU languages including Spanish & German.

• The fancy one: Vun – Andrea Aprea we can’t wait for the world to open up and for the refurb of this superb 2-michelin star restaurant to be completed.
• One for cocktail lovers: Nottingham Forest, simply a landmark for cocktail lovers in Italy.
• And one for caffeine-addicted: Orsonero, Italian espresso culture meets 3rd wave specialty coffee
