Wordpress Help Desk Developer

We are looking for experienced and passionate WordPress Developers to join our agile development team. Currently comprising 6 developers, and reporting to the Lead Developer and CTO, you will work on a variety of exciting projects for well-known hospitality brands including Marriott Hotels, Hawksmoor, Pho, D&D London, Park Plaza Hotels among many other well known brands.

We are looking for a highly organised, responsive and client-facing Help Desk Developer. This may suit someone slightly less experienced, who wishes to build up their experience working across many different client sites. Working within our Help Desk platform, they will receive and respond to client-raised support tickets. So the ability to troubleshoot and communicate well with clients is essential. We see this position as potentially a gateway to gain experience and move into a new project-based Website Development role in the future.

In this role you will work closely with all departments of the company, including the Project Managers, Marketers and Designers, so a teamwork attitude is essential to complete requests to the highest standard.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Min 2 year experience with WordPress & WooCommerce 
  • Experience developing cross-browser responsive websites
  • Good understanding of Web Accessibility and security 
  • RESTful API development and consumption  – JSON/XML/SOAP
  • PHP, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, GIT
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Exemplary communication skills with an excellent standard of spoken and written English
  • Team player with ‘can do’ attitude
  • Be able to work to deadlines
  • Be organised and pro-active, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to think through and solve problems
