Social Media Coordinator

We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join our Organic Social Team in America. Reporting into the Head of Social and working with our team of Social Media Specialists, you’ll support the team in owning clients’ social accounts, including writing content calendars, feeding into strategies, coming up with scroll-stopping content ideas, and taking ownership over community engagement. As a Coordinator we recognise that you might need development in some of these areas, but that will be given in the hope that you can develop these skills to start to work more independently.

You’ll be working on a variety of hospitality clients, from social entertainment brands, to casual dining restaurants, to luxury hotels. So first and foremost, you must LOVE food and drink! There are also some non-hospitality clients you might work on in Education, Retail and Tech, so you must have the ability to understand different audiences, and adapt brand personalities and content accordingly.

This is a client facing role, and some clients may become your sole responsibility over time, so you’ll be confident and comfortable working with high level marketing directors and brand managers in a knowledgeable and authoritative way. You’ll be proactive in spending time with clients and immersing yourself in their brand to gain intimate knowledge of their business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working independently to manage and grow social accounts, including posting stories and feed posts, scheduling, writing captions and daily community engagement on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
  • Ensuring client’s brand guidelines are followed, adopting various TOVs to build brand personalities 
  • Producing monthly content plans for clients across – able to tailor content to suit different platforms and work in an agile manner when needed, as things often change in the world of social and hospitality
  • Contributing to engaging social media ideas, always thinking of ways to create scroll-stopping content with exciting hooks to drive results for clients
  • Identifying opportunities for reactive and trend-driven content where relevant to enhance brand visibility
  • Using basic design skills to create and brief social assets, occasionally working in collaboration with our in-house design team
  • Support our Content Creators and Freelance photographers on client photoshoots when required
  • Scheduling and posting content, ensuring content goes live in a timely and sometimes reactive manner
  • Reporting on key metrics with meaningful insights to support growth on accounts
  • Identifying influencers, content creators, and brand ambassadors within the community and collaborating with them to amplify reach
  • Proactively engaging with social communities, including monitoring and managing negative comments, complaints, and PR threats, ensuring these are communicated quickly and efficiently to clients
  • Staying up to date with the latest trends, best practices, and algorithm updates
  • Work with the CMO, Creative Director and Head of Social on content for Ignite and Fuse (our tech company)

Required Skills & Experience

As above, plus:

  • A minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in managing B2C social accounts, including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
  • Excellent standard of written English skills, verbal fluency and confidence
  • Good working knowledge of Canva
  • Be open-minded and sociable with a lively personality
  • Organised, assertive, and self motivated – with lots of initiative

Beneficial though not essential:

  • Experience working within an agency
  • Experience working with hospitality brands
  • Experience working with influencers and/or PR agencies 
  • Good working knowledge of Google Suite and Meta Business Suite
  • Good working knowledge of Sprout Social and Later
