A love letter to Portugal

The Brief

The brief was to translate the two brands into a beautiful online experience that reflects the design-led interiors, and the care that has been used to craft each detail of the hotels.

All this was packed into one powerful Wordpress solution which was built and adapted to be used for both hotels,The Vintage and The Lumiares, without compromising on the respective personalities.

The solution

Our team flew to Lisbon to experience first hand what both hotels are about. We had extensive chats with the staff, the interior design team, and made sure to understand the USPs and personality of both places.

We then made sure to translate the brands online using complementary colour palettes and typography, together with stylised and sophisticated photography; subsequently, we built the websites around the content provided and the business objectives of each place, allowing for customisation regarding typefaces, colours, and layouts.

A big part of the CMS was the focus on photography: for each content module the user has control on the image orientation and crop, and as both hotels have an excellent image library, it was essential to bring it to life in the best possible way.

Mobile at the forefront

As a lot of the bookings do happen on a mobile device nowadays, it was imperative not to have mobile as an afterthought. We developed and curated every content module testing it for every possible breakpoint.
And of course, no hotel website would be complete without a sleek booking system and a powerful languages translation system. We made sure the CMS had everything covered.
